Course Objectives:  

Microbiology:

Understand fundamental principles of microbiology. 

Gain proficiency in aseptic techniques, microbial culturing, and identification methods. 

Learn to perform microbiological assays and tests for organism identifications. 

Explore the role of microorganisms in health, disease, and biotechnological applications. 

Histology:

Develop skills in tissue sample preparation, sectioning, staining, and microscopic examination. 

Explore the application of histological techniques in research and clinical diagnostics. 

Biochemistry: 

Acquire practical skills in biochemical analysis and instrumentation.

Operation and maintenance of biochemistry analysers. 

 Operation and Maintenance of haematology assays. 

Haematology:

Learn techniques for blood sample collection, preparation, and analysis. 

Understand the principles of haematopoiesis and blood cell morphology.

 Perform haematological assays  

Course Format:  

Laboratory sessions: Extensive hands-on practice in histological techniques and microscopic analysis under the guidance of experienced instructors.   VLE: Virtual Learning Environment. 

Course Duration:  

The course spans 5 months with laboratory sessions
